Hello soccer parents:
I would like to provide an update in relation to Tim Horton’s retail locations providing free lemonade to child players, wearing Tim Horton’s sponsored uniforms.
Several years ago, legislation came into affect, which prohibited Corporations to market directly to children., supplying free lemonade to children, fell into this category.
Unfortunately, there has been mixed messages to parents, and most recently, our local Tim Horton stores, may not have been aware of the Corporate policy. We have clarified the issue with Tim Horton’s Corporate today and we would like everyone to be aware that:
Tim Horton’s is a generous sponsor for the North Simcoe Soccer Club, specifically children in Learn to Play, Beginner and Junior leagues, providing uniforms, mini balls, medals and supplies for our season wrap up. They must adhere to government legislation and cannot provide free products to our child soccer players.
They are responsible corporate citizens and we appreciate their contributions to our soccer league.

Good morning parents/guardians,
Just an reminder to all that this week will be picture night. Each team member will get their photo taken, in addition to a team photo. These two photos are included in the price you paid for registration, any extra photos you would like must be purchased. We will have teams Yellow and Silver getting their pictures first, with teams Red and Aqua Blue going second. In order to give the children as much playing time as possible, we will be starting games right away, with no practice. That means teams Red and Aqua will start their game right away and play until it is time to get their pictures and teams Yellow and Silver will start playing their game right after they are done getting photos.
Photo night is always a little busy and we ask everyone to be patient. If you know you child struggles with waiting or having their photo taken, please accompany them to the photo location.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me,
See everyone on Wednesday
Good Morning parents/guardians/coaches
Hope everyone has been enjoying this beautiful weather that has finally come our way. I am messaging each of you to let you know that the Town of Midland has granted us access to the fields, which means we will start the spring season this Wednesday May 9th at 5:55 pm.
The first night is always a little bit busier than the rest. If everyone can ensure that they arrive on time (or even a couple of minutes before) that would be great. Coaches will be given all items for your child. They should receive a team shirt (in their teams colour), black shorts and black socks. All of these items are handed out by the coaches on the field location that they will be playing that night. Please be patient with your coaches. Each of them has volunteered to help coach your child’s team, they deserve all the support and kindness they can get.
Please check the team listings and game location image to find out where your son/daughter will be playing the first night. I have posted both on team pages, as well I will ensure there is a posted list at the fields for you to refer to.
Also, ensure that your child has proper foot wear. Cleats are not required, regular running shoes are just great. They should bring something to hydrate themselves with too. Be mindful of the weather. Even if it is raining we will play, however, if the weather is too bad, I will post on teampages what the decision has been regarding games. We also play in cooler weather, so please bring a sweater or toque if needed.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone this week. If you have any questions, please just let me know.

We have had a great response to the registration this year.
There are some leagues that have filled up.
If you are looking to register for Learn to Play or Beginner Leagues, they are both full.
We do have a couple of spaces left in the Junior (grade 2-3) as well as the older leagues.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your convener, or if general issues, contact Lee Jeannotte.
